Let's understand the working principle of the high-frequency welded pipe machine

Unlike other welding machines, high-frequency welded pipe machines have more functions and uses than single welding. High-frequency welded pipe machines can not only be used for welding various metal materials but also for processes such as through-heating, melting, and heat treatment.

High-frequency welded pipe machines mainly consist of uncoilers, straighteners, active straighteners, shear butt welders, storage loops, forming-sizing mills, computer flying saws, end milling machines, hydraulic testing machines, discharge roller tables, flaw detection equipment, packaging machines, high-frequency DC drives, and full-line electrical systems.

High-frequency welded pipe machines feed steel strips of certain specifications into the machine, curl the steel strips into pipe blanks through forming rolls, then utilize the proximity effect and skin effect of high-frequency to rapidly heat the pipe edges to welding temperature, complete welding under the extrusion pressure of squeeze rolls, and then cool, size, and roughly straighten the steel pipes of required specifications.

Working Principle of High-Frequency Welded Pipe Machines

First, in high-frequency welded pipe machines, a unique set of electronic circuits converts low-frequency AC power (50Hz) from the grid into high-frequency AC power (generally above 20000Hz). After high-frequency current acts on the inductance coil (i.e., induction coil), it is converted into a high-frequency magnetic field through electromagnetic induction principle, acting on metal objects in the magnetic field. Using the eddy current effect, induced current proportional to magnetic field strength is generated in metal objects. This eddy current is affected by the skin effect; the higher the frequency, the more concentrated it is on the surface of metal objects. When eddy current flows in metal objects, it uses the current heat effect principle to generate heat through its internal resistance value. This heat is directly generated inside the object. Therefore, the heating speed is fast and the efficiency is high. It can instantly melt any metal. Heating speed and temperature are controllable. This equipment is particularly suitable for heat treatment quenching, annealing, metal through-heating forging, extrusion forming, solder welding, etc.

What forging applications do high-frequency welded pipe machines have? 1. Steel plate heating and bending. 2. Through-heating forming of standard parts and fasteners. 3. Hardware tools heating, such as pliers, wrenches, etc., heating forming. 4. Extrusion of exploration drill pipe taper shanks. 5. Steel pipe through-heating forming such as elbows, etc.

What precautions should be taken with high-frequency welded pipe machines?

1. Do not start the machine without understanding its structure, performance, or operating procedures.

2. During machine operation, do not inspect or adjust the mold.

3. When serious oil leakage or other abnormal conditions are found (such as unreliable movement, loud noise, vibration, etc.), stop the machine to analyze the cause and try to eliminate it. Do not operate with faults.

4. Do not overload or exceed the maximum eccentricity limit.

5. Do not exceed the maximum slider stroke limit. Mold height must not be less than 600mm.

6. Electrical equipment grounding must be firm and reliable.

7. At the end of each workday: place the slider in an appropriate position.
